2026 Alumni Hall of Fame Spotlight | Dr. Oscar Holmes

Dr. Oscar Holmes IV, SHRM-SCP is the Interim Associate Provost, a Professor of Management and the Rutgers University Student Executive (RUSE) Director at Rutgers University-Camden where he has also previously served as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs in the Rutgers School of Business. He has taught executive education, graduate, and undergraduate courses in Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Conflict Management and Negotiation, DEI Management, and Crisis Management.  Additionally, he is the founder of WHConsulting Firm, LLC,  creator and host of Diversity Matters podcast, and was a 2023-2024 American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow at The University of Delaware. His research examines how leaders can maximize productivity and well-being through fostering more inclusive environments and has been published in several top-tier management journals and books. 

He earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Management from The University of Alabama, M.L.A. from The University of Richmond, and a B.S. with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a 2006 alum of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business Summer Institute in General Management. He has won numerous awards for his scholarship, teaching, and service such as being named one of Poets & Quants 40 Under 40 Best Business School Professors in the world, Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40, Diversity MBA Top 100 Under 50 Emerging and Executive Leaders, and won the Mid-Atlantic Association of College of Business Administration Innovation in Teaching Award, the New Jersey Policy Research Organization Foundation Bright Idea Research Award, and the Rutgers University Leaders in Faculty Diversity Award. In addition to his scholarship being covered in various news outlets, he is a TEDx speaker, organizational consultant, and has made a number of media appearances that include Huffington Post Live, television, and radio interviews.
