Amy Slack

Amy Slack attended Va Tech and earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management.  She has worked as a Park Ranger with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers, a forestry technician on the Ouachita National Forest, with the Maryland Coastal Bays Foundation, and as a forester with the state of Delaware.  With her husband, Dave, Amy moved to Tappahannock after their first child was born, with Dave working with the Va Department of Forestry. Amy’s career shifted to teaching science and she now teaches 9th grade earth science and astronomy at King William High School.  Amy has two children: Parker, a 2018 graduate who is now attending VMI, and Mary-Stuart, a junior at the CBGS Bowling Green campus. Amy was elected to the Foundation Board of Directors in August of 2018.
